Marr Piano Studio – the right place to learn the piano

Marr Studios was started by Marilyn Marr and her husband Oliver Marr, both professional musicians and highly talented piano teachers. This piano studio located in the East San Jose region of California offers the highest level of musical education for kids and adults. It follows a strict policy of teaching students a musical pedagogy of technical studies, theory, musical styles, musical history, improvisation, ear training, sight reading, ensemble work, etc. You don’t have to be a professional to enroll, as there are piano lessons for beginners who have no knowledge about music.

If you would like to take up piano playing as a career, you can enroll for professional piano instruction to obtain a MTAC Certificate in the advanced level. There are two course options available where $30 is charged for a 30 minute private lesson once a week and the same amount to enroll in a small group for 1 hour, once a week. Since it is Christmas season, holiday recitals will be held at St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church in San Jose. Trophies and MTAC Certificates will be presented at that time. Many students are also involved in the St. Timothy’s Christmas Cantata being held on December 20^th.
